Family Photography – A Walk Through The Country

 

 

 

 

 

 

The lovely Lecointe Family!  We popped out for a lovely walk, literally a minute from their home in the cotswolds village of Churchill, a location I love.  I arranged to begin their shoot a couple hours before sunset, so we would be finishing up at my favourite time, the golden hour!  For me, a sky can completely make a photograph, sometimes I might superimpose a sky if I dont have something beautiful to work with, but these are all completely real.

 

I so love meeting new families and getting to know them by taking them for a a beautiful walk.  I get to have a peak into the lives of some very incredible people.  I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the Lecointe Family, having previously photographed their son a couple years back at a playgroup shoot.  My relationship any family I photograph is so important, a good relationship is essential to be able to get a great set of photos.  One of the things I love so much about my job is that I just get to be me and have fun.  I really try to interact with the children as much as possible so I can help them to have fun and relax.  Its great because I get to become a child for a couple of hours.  Sometimes it can take a little while for the children to feel confident with me as I am a stranger but usually it doesnt take too long.  These two were at ease immediately and I think just really enjoyed being out for a walk with their mummy and daddy.  I believe it shows through the photographs.
